Terms of Use

ABBREVIATION TOKYO ("the App") is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use.

The developer makes no warranties regarding the availability, reliability, accuracy, or fitness of the App for any particular purpose.

You are solely responsible for your use of the App and for any content created using the App.

• The copyright of any images or videos created using the App belongs to the user who created them.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights or permissions for any third-party content (such as copyrighted images, characters, or music) utilized within or captured by the App.
• The developer assumes no liability, responsibility, or obligation for any copyright infringement, disputes, or claims arising from user-generated content or videos shared on third-party platforms.

The developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App.

The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice.

Privacy Policy

ABBREVIATION TOKYO does not require user registration and does not directly collect personal information.

The App may access the device's photo library only when the user chooses to:

• Select an image from the photo library.
• Save a generated timelapse video to the photo library.

Photos and videos selected or created within the App are processed on the user's device and are not uploaded to servers operated by the developer.

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and process certain information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention purposes in accordance with Google's policies.

Age Selection and Ad Configuration

When the App is launched for the first time, the user is asked to select their birth year. This value is stored locally on the device only and is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

The birth year is used solely to configure how ads are requested from Google AdMob:

• Users under 13: ad requests are tagged as child-directed, and only non-personalized ads are requested. Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt is not shown.
• Users aged 13 to 17: ad requests are tagged as "under the age of consent," and only non-personalized ads are requested. Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt is not shown.
• Users 18 and older: Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown. You may accept or decline, and you may change this choice later in the iOS Settings app. If tracking is declined, only non-personalized ads will be shown; the App remains fully functional in all other respects.

The age category is recalculated from the stored birth year each time the App is launched, so users move into the appropriate category automatically as time passes.

Uninstalling the App clears the stored birth year, and the age selection screen will appear again on the next install.

The developer does not sell, rent, or otherwise share personal information with third parties.
